Spartanburg Area Seminars
The Spartanburg Area Office of the South Carolina Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) is excited to announce a new seminar for small business owners entitled “Financing Your Small Business.”
The seminar will cover sources of business funding, the 6 Cs of credit, financial basics (Cash Flow, Income Statement, Balance Sheet), and loan application documentation. The workshop will be followed with a Question & Answer Period.

This section of the seminar highlights the various methods that can be used to finance your business.

Greenwood Area Events
This program is based upon the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, by Steven R. Covey. Participants will learn how to use these habits to manage their own actions, to lead others and to unleash the potential of their business. The workshop will provide life-changing knowledge and skills and the tools to apply them.

Exporting and Importing: The Basics of International Trade for Small Business is a seminar which will cover management, marketing, supply chain logistics and trade finance for the small-business owner. Practical, hands-on foreign market research will be demonstrated in real-time online. Handouts will provide import/export tips, guides, contacts, free and cost-effective resources and more. Licenses, INCOTERMS® (effective Jan. 1, 2011) with seller/ buyer risks, costs and obligations, harmonized codes, carnet exemptions, and how to use free trade zones will also be covered. Remember, there are many more potential sales to customers outside the U.S. SBDCglobal.com can help and will be covered. We’ll cover how to find which foreign markets are best to export to, how to finance it, insure it, get paid, and comply with the regulations (automated export system).
