Thank you for taking time to stop by the official blog of the Greenville Area Office of the Clemson University Small Business Development Center (SBDC). You might be wondering, “What exactly does the SBDC do?” Great question!
Created in 1979 the Small Business Development Center Consortium reflects the awareness of the small business person’s vital role in South Carolina’s economy. In a cooperative spirit, Clemson University, South Carolina State University, the University of South Carolina and Winthrop University joined together to offer a comprehensive list of small businesses services across the state. The Clemson Regional Office is composed of four area offices: Greenville, Greenwood, Spartanburg and Clemson. The Greenville office serves the Upstate area.
Each office offers a variety of services tailored to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and existing small business owners. Key areas of assistance include business planning, financial planning/loan packaging, starting/expanding a small business, marketing and resources for procurement and international trade.
